When you think of Ibiza, your mind immediately goes to nightclubs and crowded beaches. Yet this Balearic island has a completely different side to it. You’ll find whitewashed villages, scenic trails, hidden coves, and traditions that have stood the test of time—even if it might not seem like it. If you only have two days to spare, this Ibiza itinerary from Tourial will help you discover it all.

Ibiza itinerary

Day 1

Start your day with a stroll through Dalt Vila, the fortified historic center of Ibiza Town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s well worth getting lost among the narrow streets, small squares, and views that suddenly open up to the sea. After visiting the historic center, head to the small village of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, located in the heart of the island. It features a tree-lined square lined with artisan shops, art galleries, and cafés.

Cala d’en Serra

In the afternoon, we recommend heading to the north coast, one of the wildest and least urbanized areas. Cala d’en Serra is one of the most charming and least crowded bays. You’ll find high cliffs and crystal-clear waters. The road to get there is winding, but it’s precisely this feature that keeps the large crowds at bay. Before sunset, head to the Torre des Savinar, also known as the Pirate’s Tower. It offers one of the most spectacular views on the island, with a prime vantage point overlooking the islet of Es Vedrà.

Legends Surrounding Es Vedrà

According to numerous legends, this area is said to be full of mysteries and unusual phenomena. It is said to be the home of the sirens. The story goes that they were drawn to the island by its beauty and charm, and that they sang to hypnotize sailors passing by. Another legend, however, suggests that the island is the submerged peak of a sacred mountain from Atlantis.

Day 2

On the second day, spend the morning taking a walk in the Ses Salines Natural Park. Among the coastal trails, dunes, and wetlands, it’s easy to spot flamingos, herons, and numerous species of migratory birds, especially in the spring and fall. The contrast between the white of the salt flats and the deep blue of the sea creates truly unique landscapes. Continuing northeast, you’ll reach the legendary Puente Viejo in Santa Eulària des Riu. It’s one of the few medieval bridges still standing in the Balearic Islands. Few visitors stop here, but it’s a pleasant stop surrounded by greenery.

Sant Joan de Labritja

In the afternoon, visit the village of Sant Joan de Labritja, one of the most peaceful towns in Ibiza. The white houses, the small church, and the relaxed atmosphere offer a completely different perspective from the island’s glamorous image. There are also numerous trails in the surrounding area that wind through pine forests and countryside, perfect for those who love to hike.

Cala Xarraca

To wrap up your trip, head to Cala Xarraca. Although it’s well-known among locals, it remains less crowded than the beaches in the south. In addition to its crystal-clear waters, the bay hides a little-known curiosity: several small natural clay pools where many visitors apply the mud to their skin before rinsing off in the sea, following a local tradition passed down through the ages.
